Masterpiece
Birdemic: Shock and Terror
The story
A romance unfolds as a coastal town faces an unprecedented bird crisis.
Critical appreciation
An ecological masterpiece that rejects conventional visual effects in favor of an uncompromising minimalist aesthetic. Each bird appears deliberately liberated from the constraints of physics, anatomy, and animation. Hitchcock gave us The Birds. James Nguyen gave us their spiritual evolution.
