Masterpiece
Samurai Cop
The story
A fearless detective takes on organized crime with martial arts.
Critical appreciation
A masterclass in undercover identity and personal transformation. The protagonist's evolving hairstyle serves as a visual metaphor for the instability of justice itself. Few action films have explored the relationship between law enforcement, swordsmanship, and hairpieces with such conviction.
